ecoplus Digital endeavours to make the company's website accessible in accordance with the Lower Austrian Anti-Discrimination Act 2017 (Directive EU 2016/2102), in particular the section ‘Barrier-free access to websites and mobile applications’ and the Federal Act on Barrier-free Access to Websites and Mobile Applications of the Federal Government (Web Accessibility Act WZG) BGBL.I.NR.59/2019.
This declaration on accessibility applies to https://virtuelleshaus.at
STATUS OF COMPLIANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS
This website www.virtuelleshaus.at is compatible with the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 or with the applicable European standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) with conformity level AA.
NON-ACCESSIBLE CONTENT
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons
Incompatibility with accessibility regulations
All images used on the website have alt texts and copyrights, but the copyright notices directly in the image are not optimal due to the small font size and sometimes lack of contrast. The WCAG success criteria 1.4.3 (contrast) and 1.4.4 (scalability of text) are not fulfilled.
It is also possible in some cases that linked documents (e.g. PDFs) may not be fully accessible. Missing captions in embedded videos are also possible.
The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legal provisions
Content from third parties, such as reports, studies and presentation documents from our partner network, which are not within the sphere of influence of ecoplus Digital, are excluded from the EU Directive. No statement can be made regarding the compatibility of this third-party content with accessibility regulations.
Disproportionate burden
Our videos are hosted and published on the video platform YouTube. It is not technically possible to provide the required audio descriptions for some of these older videos (created before 2021 and still available on YouTube). This means that WCAG success criterion 1.2.5 (audio description recorded) is not met. We are of the opinion that remedying this would represent a disproportionate burden in terms of accessibility regulations. All current videos currently available on the website are now only offered with subtitles.
Due to the legal obligation, some downloads must be offered; these are not fully accessible due to frequent updating, age and partial document length. These few PDF documents are not tagged so that they cannot be recognised and used by screen reader users, or only to an insufficient extent. This means that WCAG success criterion 4.1.2 (name, role, value) is not fulfilled.

ENFORCEMENT PROCEDURE
If you do not receive a satisfactory response from the above contact option, you can contact the Austrian Research Promotion Agency with Limited Liability (FFG) with a complaint. The FFG accepts complaints electronically via the contact form.
Contact form of the complaints office
The complaints are examined by the FFG to determine whether they relate to violations of the provisions of the Web Accessibility Act, in particular deficiencies in compliance with the accessibility requirements, by the federal government or an organisation attributable to it. If the complaint is justified, the FFG must issue recommendations for action to the federal government or the legal entities concerned and propose measures to remedy the deficiencies in question.
