In the summer of 2026, the House of Digitalization will become a stage for extraordinary media art. During the 14-day DGTL Summer Festival, visitors will experience creative works that utilize the over 300 m² LED screen as an artistic medium.
At the heart of the DGTL SUMMER media art festival is the exhibition featuring works by Fanni Futterknecht, Volkmar Klien, and MONOCOLOR.
Fanni Futterknecht's artistic work explores toy culture, its narratives, and fantasy worlds, showcasing textile objects, sculptures, and video works. Volkmar Klien focuses on the process of inhaling and exhaling in an installation-based, sound-based piece, incorporating a strong analog component. MONOCOLOR immerses the audience in a captivating installation of minimalist spaces and sounds.
he concept of "simulation" plays a crucial role for all three artists: In different ways, discrepancies and frictions between the analog and digital worlds are made tangible in various artistic media. The exhibition offers a precisely choreographed glimpse into contemporary media art in Lower Austria.
