DiNaBau - digital sustainability certificates for the construction industry

The "DiNaBau – Digital Sustainability Certificates for the Construction Industry" project provides regulatory-required documentation on the ecological sustainability of buildings in digital and machine-readable formats. Building product manufacturers make sustainability indicators available to wholesalers and the construction industry, enabling owners to comprehensively understand the environmental impact of their buildings. The ecoplus Construction.Energy.Environment Cluster Lower Austria is implementing this innovative project in collaboration with inmdata Datentechnik GmbH, Bau EPD GmbH, IBO, and myssion consulting. Four Lower Austrian companies are participating in the project, which will run from August 2025 to September 2026. Digital processes for creating and disseminating ecological parameters have been developed, including preparing software systems for new requirements (e.g., Ecodesign Directive, building logbook), as well as incorporating EPDs and Digital Product Passports. For the first time, the project enables automated sustainability documentation for planning and construction.
