ISI - Use Case "Vario-Bau": AI-supported manufacturing element planning

The ISI project developed a digital solution for the detailed planning of prefabricated house elements. It analyzes planning parameters, detects errors early, and improves the efficiency and quality of production data.

The ISI project offers companies the opportunity to explore new digital technologies and adapt them to their specific needs for subsequent implementation within their businesses. In the use case of partner Vario-Bau Fertighaus GesmbH, a solution was developed to support the detailed planning of prefabricated house elements. The goal is to make planning processes more efficient and reduce potential errors in the preparation of components such as walls, ceilings, and roof elements. The solution analyzes various planning parameters, such as structural specifications and requirements from building design, and supports the positioning of components and fixtures like electrical boxes or plumbing connections. This allows for structured preparation of planning processes and the early detection of typical errors. The generated planning data serves as the basis for further processing in existing timber construction and production systems, for example, to prepare data for CNC-controlled manufacturing machines. This makes planning more efficient and improves the quality of production data.
