With "NIGbot", "Natur im Garten" has taken a step towards digital service quality and modern knowledge transfer. The chatbot was developed by the "Nature in the Garden" hotline team in cooperation with the marketing department and trained exclusively with quality-assured content from "Nature in the Garden." This ensures that every piece of information transmitted adheres to the movement's professional principles, quality guidelines, and ecological standards. The chatbot serves as a 24/7 extension of the "Nature in the Garden" hotline and answers typical inquiries about natural gardening, organic pest control, biodiversity promotion, natural garden design, and current key topics. By using NIGbot, frequently asked questions can be answered automatically and consistently. This is intended to relieve the workload of the hotline team, allowing them to focus more on complex consultation requests, which have become increasingly common recently. The project is innovative because it combines modern AI technology with quality-assured environmental knowledge and serves as a best-practice example of how digital solutions can meaningfully enhance public advisory services.
