As the economy becomes increasingly digitalized, the risk of cyber threats continues to rise. For this reason, the House of Digitalization is focusing on this issue in 2022 with its "IT Security Prevention for SMEs" initiative.
To address the growing need for skilled professionals in this field, the Security Boostcamp Lower Austria was launched in April of this year by the House of Digitalization, Microsoft, ETC, the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce, and the Federation of Austrian Industries Lower Austria.
For Microsoft Austria General Manager Hermann Erlach and Provincial Councillor for Economic Affairs Jochen Danninger, the Security Boostcamp Lower Austria is an important and necessary step for SMEs: "Individual small and medium-sized enterprises are facing ever-increasing challenges due to the constantly growing threat landscape in the area of cybersecurity. Studies show that these uncertainties also lead many SMEs to invest less in the digitalization of their own businesses. The Security Boostcamp Lower Austria raises awareness of IT security and guides participants towards becoming a Microsoft Certified employee."
Thanks to the cooperation between the House of Digitalization, Microsoft, the Enterprise Training Center (ETC), the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce, and the Federation of Austrian Industries Lower Austria, participation in the first two sessions, normally valued at €1,500, is offered for €99.
"The first session of the Security Boostcamp Lower Austria was very well received! In July, 70 certificates of completion were awarded. The second session of the Security Boostcamp Lower Austria begins on September 1st," say ecoplus Digital Managing Directors Claus Zeppelzauer and Lukas Reutterer.
