A large number of companies are already using artificial intelligence in various areas to optimize processes or offer better services. It is undeniable that dealing with artificial intelligence is currently unavoidable. This is especially true for tourism businesses that want to offer their guests an optimal experience.
State Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner emphasizes: “Our tourism businesses want to take advantage of the opportunities offered by digitalization, and we in Lower Austria want to support them in the best possible way. Online booking systems, social media marketing, and the use of AI tools can help to continuously improve services. However, one thing will never change: our hosts will continue to put hospitality first, but will enhance it with new technologies.”
To support companies in this endeavor, Niederösterreich-Werbung, ecoplus, and Haus der Digitalisierung are launching a workshop roadshow across all six tourism destinations. The aim is to provide information about artificial intelligence and its potential applications in tourism, as well as to offer training in its practical use. The workshops are free of charge for tourism businesses. The roadshow will kick off in the Vienna Alps destination in Lower Austria on May 28. "Artificial intelligence is significantly changing the tourism industry and providing innovative solutions for tourism professionals. Our businesses want to know: ‘What does AI actually mean for me as a tourism business?’. The aim of our already well-booked workshops is to create a practical, beneficial bridge between modern technology and the tourism industry," says Michael Duscher, Managing Director of Lower Austria Tourism.
The workshop, designed by Philipp-Thomas Müller, founder and managing director of CtrlE Consulting & Holding GmbH, offers a perfect opportunity to learn about the latest developments in AI technology and explore its practical application in the tourism sector.
“Our joint initiative is right on trend. It is essential for interested tourism businesses to engage intensively with the topic and take cautious first steps. Our workshop series offers small and medium-sized enterprises a practical introduction and illustrates examples of application,” say Lukas Reutterer and Claus Zeppelzauer, managing directors of Haus der Digitalisierung.
Registration for the workshops, which are limited to 20 participants, can be done via the e-learning and knowledge platform of the respective destination.
