Planners, consultants, building material and component manufacturers, building contractors, as well as operators and building authorities should be able to access and edit the shared digital building model – the “digital twin.” However, for successful implementation within companies, BIM as a communication method between trades must be tested, refined, and, above all, applied. This requires collaboration and support.
The Lower Austrian Construction, Energy, and Environment Cluster organized and coordinated the cooperation project.
The aim of the cooperative BIM pilot project was further development through qualification by means of practical application of BIM working methods without real project risk, introduction to the complex topic and building know-how of the new digital data exchange methods.
