Since the launch of Digitalks in 2023, over 2,200 visitors have taken the opportunity to learn about digital trends directly in their regions. This is made possible by the successful collaboration between the State of Lower Austria, the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce, and the House of Digitalization. The goal is to show small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) how they can use new technologies efficiently.
In Krems, participants gained practical insights into the implementation of AI projects, the use of smart assistants, AI automation in back-office operations, digital employees, knowledge management with AI, and AI agents in recruiting. Among those present were Ernst & Young, Onlim, Process One, thynkAI, Alpha Intelligence, and the WIFI (Austrian Economic Chamber Institute). The event was rounded out by information from the Technology and Innovation Partners (TIP), the House of Digitalization, and DIHOST (the Austrian Association for Digitalization and Innovation) on support services, events, and funding opportunities related to agentic AI.
"AI agents demonstrate very concretely how artificial intelligence can be effective in everyday business. It is crucial that companies not only try out individual tools but also recognize which tasks can be meaningfully automated," emphasized Christoph Jarisch from the House of Digitalization.
“Many small and medium-sized enterprises are currently grappling with the question of how they can effectively utilize AI. The Digitalks on Tour brings expert knowledge to the region, makes applications tangible, and demonstrates that AI agents don't have to remain abstract but can provide direct support within businesses,” said Helmut Kahrer of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce.
The event made it clear that AI agents are not just a technological trend but offer concrete opportunities for companies, ranging from more efficient processes and better management of internal knowledge to relieving the workload of employees. The next dates for the “Digitalks on Tour” 2026 are September 15 at the House of Industry and Commerce in Neunkirchen and November 11, 2026, at the House of Digitalization in Tulln.
