First Estonian-Lower Austrian Digitalization Symposium Strengthens International Networking

The ongoing digitalization is not only the defining theme of our time, but it also decisively shapes the economic future of Europe. With Estonia as a digital beacon in Europe and Lower Austria as an innovation leader in practical implementation, there is an outstanding opportunity to combine our strengths and learn from each other through exchange.

Successful Networking with Leading Figures in the Digitalization Sector

Following the signing of a cooperation agreement between the "House of Digitalization" and the Estonian Association for Information Technology and Telecommunications (ITL) in August 2022, the first Estonian-Lower Austrian Digitalization Symposium took place on September 14 at the House of Digitalization in Tulln.

The opening ceremony was conducted by the Estonian Ambassador, Merle Pajula. A particular highlight was the keynote address by Peter Kieseberg, Director of the Institute for IT Security Research and Head of the Josef Ressel Center for Blockchain Technologies and Security Management at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences.

The symposium offered a day of intensive knowledge exchange, networking with renowned experts, and in-depth discussions. The main focus was on showcasing best-practice approaches in digitalization, engaging in intensive expert panels, and raising awareness of the enormous potential of digital transformation. Lower Austrian companies, as well as research and educational institutions, took advantage of this unique opportunity to connect with leading figures in the digitalization sector. The productive discussions with Estonian company representatives provided valuable insights into existing and future collaboration opportunities.

Jana Silaškova, Head of Internationalization at the Estonian ICT Cluster, and Claus Zeppelzauer, Managing Director of ecoplus Digital GmbH, summarized the symposium's success: They look back on a successful launch and are eagerly anticipating future joint projects.

The symposium underlines the importance of cross-border cooperation in the digital age and sends a strong signal for future-oriented partnerships.
