Fireside chat at the House of Digitalisation: Two years of ChatGPT - game changer or hype?

On 14 May 2025, the House of Digitalisation in Tulln hosted a fireside chat to explore the question of how ChatGPT has actually impacted the world of work, education and society two years after its launch. Under the title ‘2 years of ChatGPT - game changer or hype?’, two recognised experts discussed the opportunities, risks and prospects of dealing with generative artificial intelligence.

The discussion brought together entrepreneur and AI founder Anna Kofler (thynkAI, dryven GmbH) and AI researcher Marlies Temper (St. Pölten UAS, head of the new AI lab). Both - moderated by ORF Lower Austria editor Michael Battisti - gave insights into their respective fields of activity and showed where AI solutions have already become established, where potential lies dormant - and where a critical debate remains necessary.

The evening was met with great interest: Numerous guests from business, education, administration and interested members of the public took the opportunity to find out first-hand about current developments. The dialogue continued lively at the closing event.
