Online Reputation and In-Store Sales

Retailers and businesses value their brick-and-mortar stores; customers do too, provided they know the store exists. To gain online visibility, some basic skills and knowledge are needed to ensure the continued success of these physical stores.

What does the retail sector need – what will you learn in the workshops?

Plenty of hands-on practice, helpful tips, and just the right amount of theory – that's the focus of all our workshops. Following a kick-off workshop that provides an overview of all modules, a wide range of topics is offered:

From better legal protection (what are the legal considerations when posting, sharing, or sending content online), to

better handling of photos (tips for taking photos for social media, websites, or messaging apps like WhatsApp and Signal), to

improving online visibility (how retailers can use Google effectively).

Up to ten different workshops can be attended free of charge.

Tulln, Amstetten, Zwettl: Better business across the country

The first series of workshops took place in Tulln, in the central region of Lower Austria; the second series is currently underway in Amstetten. The third iteration of this successful SME support program will begin in Zwettl in May.

Who's behind it?

The workshops are free for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Lower Austria because they are an event organized by the Digital Innovation Hub East (www.dih-ost.at). This project is funded by the Austrian Federal Government (FFG). Funded by the State of Lower Austria, organized by ecoplus (House of Digitalization), and collaborating with partners such as the Chambers of Commerce in Vienna, Lower Austria, Burgenland, and Upper Austria.

The Digital Innovation Hub East combines the expertise of educational and research institutions such as IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems, University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten, Fotec (University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt), Research Burgenland, and the Austrian Blockchain Center Vienna.
