Future wine tavern in Krems: 3D printing in medicine

Experts presented practical applications – from microsurgical bone reconstruction (Prim. Priv.-Doz. Dr. Manfred Schmid, Kepler University Hospital) to optimized breast reconstruction (Dr. Maximilian Zaussinger, Kepler University Hospital). Bernd Prettenthaler (Alphacam) offered further insights into the PolyJet process and its potential in medicine.

The event was part of the "Future Wine Tavern" series, which is held regularly at the hub locations of the House of Digitalization – Krems, Tulln, Wiener Neustadt, Klosterneuburg, St. Pölten, and Wieselburg. The aim is to promote exchange through topic-specific events and to further expand collaborations in key technologies such as 3D printing. A traditional Austrian buffet and intensive networking rounded off the informative afternoon.
