House of Digitalization at the Long Night of Research Numerous stations invite you to discover, participate and try things out on April 24th in Tulln.

On Friday, April 24, 2026, the House of Digitalization in Tulln will once again participate in the Long Night of Research, inviting everyone to a diverse evening for the whole family from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. with free admission. As Austria's largest event for science, research, and innovation, the Long Night of Research is aimed at all age groups and makes current developments in research, technology, and digitalization directly accessible.

Across Lower Austria, more than 100 institutions in ten regions are participating at over 300 locations. The House of Digitalization is also taking part for the second time since 2024, offering visitors a diverse program with a total of eight stations – from the interactive exhibition and hands-on activities at the Science Center Lower Austria to the activation of ID Austria.

The centerpiece is the current exhibition, "Is Digital the Solution? – Innovations for Our Future," which addresses key questions of digital transformation and presents them vividly at interactive stations. The program is complemented by the audiovisual show "What is the Rhizosphere?", which brings nature's hidden networks to life in an immersive presentation.

The Science Center Lower Austria, operated by the Department of Science and Research of the State of Lower Austria and located within the House of Digitalization, is also opening its doors with several hands-on stations: The Digital Technologies Lab explores modern technologies in the "Workshop of the Future," while the Biotechnology Lab offers fascinating insights into the microcosm and biotechnological processes. Those who enjoy puzzles and solving escape rooms can try their hand at the station "Are you fast enough to solve the elixir's secret?" In addition, the Coding and AI Studio and the AR/VR Studio invite visitors to experiment with programming, artificial intelligence, and immersive technologies. Another station provides information about ID Austria and offers on-site registration.

"The Long Night of Research is an excellent opportunity to experience digitalization, science, and innovation in an accessible and engaging way. With the eight stations in the House of Digitalization, we demonstrate how diverse and tangible future topics can be – for children, teenagers, and adults alike," emphasize Lukas Reutterer and Claus Zeppelzauer, Managing Directors of the House of Digitalization.

Refreshments will also be available this evening: In the House of Digitalization atrium, the Niederhametner family offers regional culinary delights in the style of a traditional Austrian wine tavern. Visitors can enjoy meat and cheese sandwiches, as well as homemade sausages with mustard and horseradish, among other things.
