"Lower Austria is consciously focusing on digitalisation and innovation. We want to break down fears of contact, win over the population for digital topics and encourage our companies to actively engage with new technologies. This is crucial for our competitiveness in the future. In addition to the multimedia presentations in the House of Digitalisation and the Science Center
Niederösterreich, we offer workshops and events for our companies throughout the province that make digitalisation tangible and understandable," emphasises Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner

"Is digital the solution? - Innovations for our future" is dedicated to central questions of digital transformation and invites visitors to actively engage with the potential, impact and design possibilities of digital technologies. The focus is on experience - playful, vivid and practical.

The multimedia presentation takes the binary number system as its starting point: a journey of discovery begins with 0 and 1, leading from the digital archetype to virtual history experiences, creative design options, digital twins and holograms. The exhibition conveys knowledge that inspires - whether in the critical examination of digital identities or the amazement of one's own head as a holographic image in space.

A particular focus is on the presentation of innovative projects from Austria. Numerous best-practice examples from small and medium-sized enterprises and public institutions show how digitalisation works in everyday life and what potential is already being exploited today - especially in Lower Austria. Large-format LED screens in the showroom make these examples visible and encourage imitation and further development. "With this exhibition, we want to show that digitalisation is more than just a technological issue - it affects us all. It's about encouraging people to help shape their digital future," explain Lukas Reutterer and Claus Zeppelzauer, Managing Directors of the House of Digitalisation. ‘We want to provide impetus - for pupils, for the general public, but also specifically for companies in Lower Austria.’

NEW WORKSHOP OFFER FOR SMEs STARTS IN OCTOBER
A new workshop offer specifically for small and medium-sized enterprises in Lower Austria will also be launched as part of the exhibition. From October, practical formats will be offered that deal with the topic of ‘Customised AI agents for SMEs’. The aim is to show companies how they can optimise their processes, improve their customer service or develop new digital business models with individually trained AI solutions.

The exhibition was conceived by the ‘Digitooln’ consortium - a cooperation between Tulln-based Vermedia GmbH and the Innsbruck-based companies idee Concept & Exhibition Engineering GmbH and VRme.eu. The interdisciplinary creative team led by media expert Ferdinand Auhser, immersive designer Valentin Sysel and exhibition designer Norbert Span combined their expertise to create an exhibition that combines technology with experience, reflection with curiosity.

‘Our aim is to make the abstract concept of digitality vivid and tangible, to transform the diffuse and theoretical into the concrete,’ emphasises Ferdinand Auhser.

OPEN DOOR DAY ON 20 SEPTEMBER
Two weeks after its opening, the House of Digitalisation will be all about encounters on 20 September: at the Open Door Day, visitors can take guided tours of the exhibition "Is digital the solution? - Innovations for our future" with free admission. In addition, the Science Center Niederösterreich offers exciting insights into modern technologies, complemented by culinary offerings and a family-friendly supporting programme.
