The workshop series is a collaboration between the House of Digitalization, the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce, and Lower Austria Tourism with the tourist destinations. Since the start of the initiative, more than 500 participants have already taken advantage of the program.

The workshop focused on the practical application of AI in everyday business operations: from optimizing guest communication to marketing and content creation, as well as organizational processes, analysis, and automation. Speaker Manuela Machner presented a practical AI toolbox that can be implemented without significant technical effort. As an entrepreneur with her own experience in the tourism industry, she combines technical expertise with a clear understanding of the challenges faced by businesses.

Hannes Steinacker, Managing Director of Weinviertel Tourism Destination, explains: “Our businesses need clear guidance and practical tools – that’s exactly what these workshops offer.” Romana Franzl, consultant at the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKNÖ) Tulln district office, adds: “Especially for SMEs, it’s crucial to understand AI early on and use it in a structured way within their operations.” Peter Brandstetter from the House of Digitalization emphasizes: “We focus on easily understandable formats with immediate benefits. The fully booked launch confirms the high demand.”

With the continuation of the workshop series, the partners are sending a clear signal in 2026 for strengthening digital skills in Lower Austrian tourism. The goal is to support businesses in using artificial intelligence responsibly and to sustainably leverage the resulting potential for efficiency, quality, and competitiveness.

The next dates are March 2, 2026, at the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt and March 19, 2026, at the St. Hippolyt Education Center in St. Pölten. Further information is available at  www.virtuelleshaus.at or https://tourismus.niederoesterreich.at/fortbildung-digitalisierung
