The first workshop roadshow on the topic of “Artificial intelligence (AI) for the tourism industry” was a complete success: over 150 participants from 130 companies took part in the workshops in early summer. Due to the high demand, the free training series will start again in October. The further training offensive will be carried out by the House of Digitalization and Lower Austria Advertising in all tourism destinations in Lower Austria. Despite the difficult situation last week, all training courses can be held safely and without hindrance. In the interests of the businesses, the organizations are therefore sticking to the implementation.
The importance of artificial intelligence is also increasing in tourism. By automating routine tasks, AI can relieve the burden on businesses, save costs and increase efficiency. This can further improve the quality of service for guests. The workshop “Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Tourism” offers an excellent opportunity to get to grips with the latest developments in AI technology and explore their practical application in the tourism sector. Philipp-Thomas Müller, founder and managing director of CtrlE Consulting & Holding GmbH and lecturer at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences and the Upper Austrian University of Applied Sciences Campus Steyr, will share his extensive knowledge of the advancing technology in the workshops. Great emphasis is placed on practical relevance.
Michael Duscher, Managing Director of Niederösterreich Werbung, says: “Our tourism businesses are characterized by their innovative strength and they always want to offer guests ‘more service’ - the use of AI is ideal for this. As a regional tourism organization, we see the potential of AI to improve the guest experience through personalized recommendations and to develop tailor-made offers.”
Lukas Reutterer and Claus Zeppelzauer, Managing Director of Haus der Digitalisierung, also see the workshops as a great success: “The AI roadshow has shown that we have struck a chord with the times. We are delighted to be able to implement such initiatives together with partners such as Niederösterreich Werbung. The House of Digitalization is increasingly becoming the central hub for digitalization in Lower Austria.”
Participation is limited to 20 people per workshop. The free workshop is aimed at tourism businesses in the respective tourism destinations.
