For public contracting authorities and their advisors, the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKNÖ), together with the law firm Schramm Öhler Rechtsanwälte GmbH, which specializes in procurement law, has developed a guide to assist in choosing a regionally friendly procurement procedure. It guides users step-by-step through the procurement process and ultimately provides sample forms for handling procedures.

The legal framework for public procurement is becoming increasingly complex. To ensure that even smaller regional public contracting authorities, which do not regularly handle procurement processes, can conduct their purchases in accordance with the Federal Procurement Act, the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKNÖ) provides this guide.
