Background
The number of available components for an IoT system has multiplied in recent years. With 5G, over 3 billion IoT devices are expected in use by 2023. While this expands the range of applications for such a system, it also makes configuring individual components more complex. Many devices require multiple steps to integrate into a running system. This project aims to automate some of these steps.
Objectives
Open³ Toolbox stands for Open Software, Open Hardware, and Open Data. This toolbox contains a collection of tools that offer the ability to assemble a suitable IoT system without significant programming effort. This is made possible by its modular design. Since the problems that can be solved using IoT systems are often similar, a small number of modules can cover many solutions. The aim is to provide not only modules for creating the systems, but also modules that can be used to visualize the collected data.
