Just in time for the start of the semester break, the House of Digitalization in Tulln is launching its second year of exhibitions: Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner, together with Tulln's Mayor Peter Eisenschenk, Wolfgang Ecker, President of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce, ecoplus Managing Director Helmut Miernicki, Armin Mahr, Managing Director of the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt, Thomas Grechenig, CEO of RISE (Research Industrial Systems Engineering), and exhibition curator Markus Pargfrieder, CEO of Responsive Spaces, officially opened the interactive exhibition "SMART DATA + YOU" today.

SMART DATA + YOU

"With the annually changing exhibition at the House of Digitalization, we want to playfully and engagingly spark interest in digitalization among people of all ages and bring the world of digitalization closer to visitors through hands-on digital technologies. In the new exhibition 'SMART DATA + YOU,' abstract concepts like Big Data and Smart Data become tangible and therefore understandable. With the House of Digitalization, we have created a place where everyone can find inspiration for how digitalization can be used profitably. I would be delighted if many of my fellow citizens take advantage of this and become enthusiastic about digitalization – the 'SMART DATA + YOU' exhibition offers the perfect opportunity to do so starting tomorrow," invites Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner to Tulln, welcoming the people of Lower Austria.

The 'SMART DATA + YOU' exhibition explores the following questions through an interactive story in which visitors are personally and actively involved: Where is data generated in the world around us? And where are we ourselves a source of such data – perhaps even without realizing it – and what happens to it then? The exhibition uses an experiential approach to demonstrate how these large datasets are collected and processed as a "raw material" so that ultimately the public can benefit. Sometimes this benefit comes at a price, which is why the protection of personal data is also addressed.

The "SMART DATA + YOU" exhibition will be open to visitors from February 1, 2024. A free visit slot can be booked now at www.virtuelleshaus.at.

House of Digitalization – New Developments for Business

The responsible handling of personal data and the rapidly developing field of artificial intelligence (AI) are also the two major focus areas that the House of Digitalization team has developed for the Lower Austrian economy in 2024. In addition to the public exhibition, the House of Digitalization's main focus is on supporting local companies on their path to a digital future.

Established formats such as the Digi-Talks and a cybersecurity roadshow will be expanded this year to include the topics of generative AI and prompting. Prompting means achieving the best possible results through targeted interaction with AI. "Given the increasing importance of AI in the business world, the ability to prompt is becoming ever more crucial for companies to remain innovative and competitive. Experts worldwide even see efficient prompting as a key skill for successful entrepreneurship in the future. In a new workshop series at the House of Digitalization, all interested companies can now learn this important future technology in a practical and results-oriented way," explain ecoplus Digital Managing Directors Claus Zeppelzauer and Lukas Reutterer.
