For the window and facade design of Optik Bacik in the historic city center of St. Pölten, architect Martin Huber of HUBER ARCHITEKT GESTALTER prioritized giving passersby and customers maximum insight into the beauty of the interior design without demolishing any existing walls.

The actual interior design was to be transformed into an immersive experience through large-format digital photomontages (in collaboration with photographer Sebastian Wegerbauer) on the two exterior facades, Herrengasse and Domplatz, capturing the viewer's full attention.

By combining real and digital spatial experiences, the project not only successfully obtained approval for the new facade design from the historic preservation authorities but also created added value for passersby and customers. The store's interior was digitally merged with the facade, transforming it into a unique attraction in downtown St. Pölten. The response on social media was very impressive, and the increased customer traffic has led to higher sales and profits.
