SensiTrack - Tracking vs. Privacy in the World of Work 4.0
Asset tracking is already standard practice in various industries. The technologies used offer not only asset tracking but also new possibilities for recording and analyzing the location history of employees. The SensiTrack project develops measures that support the positive aspects of the technology while consciously limiting its potential for employer surveillance.

The recording and use of near-real-time position and status data of transport vehicles, tools, and load carriers (pallets, wire mesh containers) – so-called "asset tracking" – is already standard practice in various industries. In addition to asset tracking, the technologies used also offer new possibilities for recording and analyzing the temporal positional history of employees.
The SensiTrack project develops measures that make it possible to support the positive aspects of the technology with regard to occupational safety, but consciously limit the potential for monitoring by employers.
On the one hand, awareness is raised among employees regarding tracking systems in the workplace, and on the other hand, guidelines are formulated for companies on the introduction and operation of production tracking systems.
