Robot Implementation for Increased Production

The Böheimkirchen-based family business Metallbau Sonnleitner e.U. recently implemented a collaborative welding robot to increase production volume in less time.

The investment comprises three key components:

1. the collaborative robot,

2. the robot-compatible welding system, and

3. the welding table (the robot's work surface).

The interplay of these three components has resulted in a complete solution for the company. Controlling the robot is intuitive and easy to learn. Essential positions are easily accessed and saved manually.

The advantages of using a robot are numerous:

• The cost savings enable the company to insource welding production.

• The motivation of highly skilled employees is boosted, allowing them to be deployed in more varied and challenging tasks.

• The robot also offers health benefits, as it protects employees from welding fumes and fine dust.
