“Showcase Network House of Digitalization” Project of the Month: Hawkeye – AI Waste Sensor Technology

The camera system integrated into the truck detects contaminants in organic waste such as plastic bags, bottles, paper, or cardboard. The quality of the load is evaluated while the truck is still on the road.

When the garbage truck arrives at the site, it is guided to the correct sorting pile. This pre-sorting improves the recycling rate and increases the quality of the compost.

AI cameras are also used in the automatic separators on site to ensure even better sorting results.
