An optical roughness index is defined, and the values are calculated online. Using a TIM application, this index is adjusted to match the target value (control variable). The ground speed and rotor speed of the rotary harrow are adjusted in a control loop to achieve a consistent working result under heterogeneous conditions. Practical trials were conducted to determine the target values.
