Mobile 3D printing robots are used wherever housing and infrastructure need to be created quickly and cost-effectively. The Amstetten-based Umdasch Group Ventures has been involved in the series production of the first generation of such robots since 2017 through its investment in Contour Crafting in Los Angeles. In addition to social housing, the printers are used for disaster relief, for example, to quickly print new buildings on-site after earthquakes.

Mobile 3D construction printing robots are used wherever housing and infrastructure need to be created quickly and cost-effectively. Since 2017, the Amstetten-based Umdasch Group Ventures has been involved in the series production of the first generation of such robots through its investment in Contour Crafting in Los Angeles. In addition to social housing, the printers are used for disaster relief, for example, to quickly print new buildings on-site after earthquakes. With these robots, building construction time is reduced to days or even hours, and material consumption is significantly reduced. Another area of application is sophisticated architecture, as 3D construction printing makes it possible to produce almost any wall geometry easily and cost-effectively.
