The House of Digitalization celebrates its open day

Tulln, September 20, 2025 – Under the motto "Experience Digitalization," the House of Digitalization opened its doors to a wide audience. Numerous visitors took the opportunity to explore the new exhibition "Is Digital the Solution? – Innovations for Our Future" and experience a diverse supporting program.

The focus was on interactive stations that presented digital technologies in an understandable, tangible, and entertaining way – from the world of binary code to creating your own 3D hologram. The hands-on activities throughout the building were particularly popular.

TECHNOLOGY MEETS CREATIVITY: DRAWING WITH THE ROBOT A highlight for children, teenagers, and tech-savvy adults was the Technology Kids station: Using the Axi-Draw drawing robot, guests could create their own works of art – and experience how precision, creativity, and digital control work together.

 SCIENCE CENTER LOWER AUSTRIA: HANDS-ON RESEARCH The Science Center Lower Austria, part of the Department of Science and Research of the State of Lower Austria, presented several interactive labs: In the Digital Technologies Lab, visitors could experiment with VR glasses, 3D printers, and laser cutters, while in the Biotechnology Lab, modern analytical methods—such as those for determining ingredients—were demonstrated. The escape room "The Secret of the Elixir," which involved solving scientific puzzles and promoting teamwork, was also very popular.

DIGITAL ADMINISTRATION TO GO The ID Austria Service Tour offered a particularly practical service with a mobile activation station. Many visitors took the opportunity to register for their digital ID on-site—supported by individual consultations. A tangible example of how administrative processes can be designed to be digital, citizen-friendly, and simple today.

AI IN THE CLINIC: RELIEF THROUGH SPEECH RECOGNITION The Lower Austrian State Health Agency also demonstrated, using a concrete project, how digitalization works in practice. The presented speech recognition software is used for the automated creation of medical documents – with the aim of relieving the workload of doctors and simultaneously increasing the quality of care.

CULINARY MEETS DIGITALIZATION Away from the digital stations, the culinary offerings also delighted visitors: The Tyzzeria pizza truck served authentic Neapolitan pizza straight from the stone oven, while the regional wine tavern buffet with lovingly prepared snacks and drinks invited guests to linger.
