"Who controls the likes?" – 300 children at the first event of the school roadshow in Amstetten
Amstetten, February 25, 2025. At the initiative of the House of Digitalization, the Austrian Armed Forces, and the Lower Austrian Education Directorate, the first event of the school roadshow "Who Controls the Likes?" took place yesterday at the HLW Amstetten school. Around 300 students gained practical insights into the mechanisms of social media and key cybersecurity issues.

The focus was on algorithms, digital opinion formation, and the responsible handling of personal data. A key aspect of the presentation was also the role of the Austrian Armed Forces and national defense in cyberspace. The aim is to raise young people's awareness of the opportunities and risks of digital platforms at an early stage and to strengthen their media literacy in a sustainable way.
