Wieselburg – digital and regional

The past few months have presented brick-and-mortar retailers with many new challenges – but also new opportunities! Digitalization and online retail versus physical stores: Do they truly exclude each other? We think not! But how can these two worlds be meaningfully combined?

With the workshop series "Wieselburg – Digital & Regional," we showcased the opportunities of digitalization and possibilities for the practical implementation of digital project ideas as part of the Digital Innovation Hub and in cooperation with Wieselburg City Marketing. We also presented a qualification project for absolute beginners, which we implemented in Wieselburg in July and early August.

The event included a welcome address and successful digitalization examples from Lower Austria, as well as inspiration from architect Martin Huber on connecting physical and digital retail environments. This was followed by a presentation of four implementation modules with guaranteed results:
 
  • Presentation of Module 1 – Simply Online by Georg Wieder Creating a website on WordPress + independent maintenance
 
 
  • Presentation of Module 2 – Social Media by Agnes Jaglarz Creating a Facebook or Instagram page, as well as tips and program suggestions for photos and posts 
 
 
  • Presentation of Module 3 – Online Trading by Jürgen Undeutsch Embedding 10 products within your own workshop + setting up payment options 
 
 
  • Presentation of Module 4 – Brick-and-Mortar & Digital by Martin HuberOptimizing your brick-and-mortar business through digitalization + tips for cost-effective & simple measures
 
 
After the presentations, the event concluded with a relaxed get-together with drinks.
