The free web application for creating customized application maps
The TerraZo project aims to implement a web application that supports farmers and decision-makers in site-specific fertilization. Satellite data is used to determine and analyze the vegetation at the site and models are used to calculate the nutrient requirements. This ensures that as much fertilizer is applied as the plant has extracted and that the yield is optimized.

Initial situation
The added value of site-specific fertilization and the associated savings in operating resources and reduced environmental impact have already been proven in many studies. However, the barrier to entry is high, with fee-based services, expensive machinery for spreading and a lack of awareness of the added value, especially on small farms.
Objectives
The aim is to develop an application that enables farmers to generate application maps for fertilizer application in a simple and understandable way.
